Living Accommodations

There are numerous motels, efficiency apartments, hotels and rooms in private homes within walking distance, or within only a few minutes driving by car. Off-season rates are very low during the summer months at even the more expensive beach hotels and motels. The area abounds with restaurants, laundries, cleaners, malls, shopping centers, movie houses and beauty salons. The public beach is about a mile from school.

WHAT TO BRING

Sportswear and very informal attire is customary all year round, with a sweater or two for cool evenings and those sensitive to air-conditioning. The climate in South Florida is very mild, and temperature fluctuations are small.
Mean temperatures in the winter in eastern Palm Beach County average in the low 70's and the mid-80's during summer months. Very few restaurants and clubs require much more than semi-formal attire, and then only during the evening hours. The rest of the time informality prevails, so plan accordingly.

Lodging

As to lodging there are many family owned motels in this area and we suggest you make a reservation for only one or two nights, arrive, and inspect the motel of your choice before deciding on some place for the entire three weeks.
