I attended the University of
Florida for 5 years before buying a flower shop. The next 14 years
were spent in the "College of Hard Knocks" - learning how to apply
theory and book learned knowledge to reality.
Hoping to correct mistakes - (and we made
every one there was to make), I turned to local shop owners,
organizations, and business friends for advice. It was little and
late in coming. Floral business seminars, workshops and design
sessions as well as training in a formal design school followed.
Our school was founded to train designers, shop owners and managers,
and to help those who don't have surplus time, money and effort. We
ask students, salesmen, wholesalers, growers and anyone even
remotely connected to the trade for suggestions and advice, and are
constantly changing, revising, deleting, and adding to our three
week program.
Our complete program runs 3 weeks and I guarantee you that it is
among the most complete institution of its kind anywhere.
Diplomas are issued upon completion of the three-week program.
Sincerely,
James Walter Metz Jr., Owner
